Another 20 trolleybuses from Škoda Transportation in Pilsen will run in Brno
The vehicle fleet of the Transport Company of the City of Brno will be strengthened.
It will be modernized by a large fleet of new trolleybuses from the leading European manufacturer of public transport vehicles, the Škoda Transportation Group. In addition to the twenty Škoda 27Tr vehicles from the contract signed at the beginning of this year, another twenty vehicles of the same type will be added by the end of 2022, thanks to the exercise of the option. Škoda Transportation belongs to the PPF Group.
We will produce a total of forty articulated trolleybuses for Brno, which will replace the older types in the fleet of the transport company. Trolleybuses are an important means of transport for many cities in the Czech Republic and Europe, which helps to reduce emissions in transport in the long run. We are glad that Brno is also following this path.

Residents and visitors of the Moravian metropolis can look forward to modern large-capacity vehicles with a length of 18 meters, each of which can accommodate more than 120 passengers. “Comfort equipment will also be a hallmark, and of course the car’s air conditioning and modern information and camera system are a matter of course,” says Radek Kapr. The delivery of the first twenty trolleybuses is planned for the turn of 2021 and 2022, the second part of the fleet, now ordered under the option, will arrive in Brno by the end of 2022.
Škoda Electric from the Škoda Transportation Group is the largest European manufacturer of trolleybuses.
