Škoda Transportation introduced the new Škoda D‘CITY diesel bus

Today, the Pilsen group Škoda Transportation introduced a new bus from its offer.

This is a nine-meter Škoda D’CITY bus, which – as D in its name suggests – is powered by a diesel engine. This is the smallest bus for this drive, which the Czech manufacturer has in a new expanded offer. Škoda Transportation, from the PPF Group, is a leading European manufacturer of rail and wheeled vehicles for public transport.

Our new Škoda D’CITY city bus has all safety and comfort equipment according to the latest standards. It is the optimal solution for urban and interurban traffic. In addition to the spacious interior and comfortable equipment, passengers will certainly appreciate the easy entry and exit of the car. The car has a kneeling function - tilting the car at each stop. For people with reduced mobility, the bus is also equipped with a tipping ramp.

The Škoda D’CITY bus has a maximum speed of 100 km / h and is equipped with a Cummins ISBE engine with an output of 182 kW. It also currently meets the highest Euro 6 standard and has an Allison automatic transmission. Its size is optimal for winding city streets, as it is slightly over three meters (3,132 mm) high, 2,400 mm wide and 9,536 mm long. The interior of the vehicle is spacious and operators can determine the number of seats from 30 to 36 when ordering, according to their needs or adjust the configuration of doors and equipment. Of course, the car has air conditioning, reversing camera or independent heating with an output of 32 kW.

“This year, we have significantly expanded our offer with diesel buses. We have thus met the customer’s interest in diesel buses, which are economically advantageous and offer a comfortable solution for travel. We now offer a complete portfolio of wheeled vehicles for urban, suburban, intercity and tour transport. Specifically from trolleybuses (classic and partial), through electric buses to economical buses with diesel drive. In addition, we provide customers with all after-sales services, ”adds Martin Schlosser.

Following the expansion of the portfolio, in addition to the D’CITY city bus introduced today, it also primarily offers the D’INTERCITY intercity bus and the D’COACH tour bus. For the latter, the company has already won two tenders for a total of six buses for the Ministry of Defense. It will deliver them by the end of this year. In addition, in February, the group concluded the first order for 14 self-manufactured electric buses for DPP.
