CHARECTERISTICS
According to the UITP classification, the system is included in the GoA 2 automation category
It enables automatic train operation (ATO) and has driver assistance modes (DAS)
The automatic mode allows speed limitation in accordance with the track profile
The system can respond to train protection system commands
The positioning subsystem is based on its own odometry
Position information can be obtained via satellite navigation and track packages
The system allows automatic stopping at the station with accuracy corresponding to the quality of position information from GNSS; typically ± 2 m
The system optimises speed with respect to time and schedule compliance, consumption, or other needs as directed by the infrastructure manager
It supports electronic route maps with the possibility of user changes
It transmits data for displaying assistant and operator information on the driver display

It provides position information for other train subsystems
