SKODA TRANSTECH OY HAS APPOINTED NEW CEO
As of today Mr. Juha Vierros is taking the lead as new CEO of Skoda Transtech Oy, the largest rail manufacturer in Scandinavia. Juha is replacing current CEO Mr. Lasse Orre, who is leaving the company.

Now we are entering into the next stage of integration of the Skoda Transtech Oy into Skoda Transportation Group, and we are convinced, that Mr. Juha Vierros, with his experiences is the right candidate to work with us on improving the efficiency and profitability of the company,“ said Zdenek Majer, Chairman of the Board of Škoda Transtech Oy and Senior Vice President Skoda Transportation Group.
Mr. Juha Vierros has a long professional experience in the manufacturing industry. He has worked for the last two years to establish and start the production of Normet Oy joint venture Kingnor Mining Equipment Co., Ltd. in China. Prior to that he was 9 years working for Junttan Oy in different management positions. In earlier career he had been working in the telecommunications industry in Hungary and in Finland as well as in the hand tool manufacturing industry in Portugal. Juha is 47 years old and is holder of M.Sc. Eng. Degree. He is married and has two children.
Skoda Transtech is the largest manufacturer of rolling stock in Scandinavia. The company was founded in 1985. In 2015 it became a member of the Škoda Transportation Group and in 2018 the company was completely taken over by the Škoda Transportation Group. Its main products include double-decker electric cars (operated as PushPull trains), trams and engineering products. It currently employs more than 700 people.
